Japanese names are displayed with both the kanji (if known) and romaji. The romaji name is usually a link. Click on it to go to the record for the object in question.
In the listing and search results pages, anime titles are listed in alphabetical order by short title. Names of people (characters, staff or seiyuu) are listed alphabetically by family name. Eastern-style names are displayed in Eastern order, with the family name first.
About romaji and furigana
Furigana fields on the search page are always written in hiragana.
Romaji fields are transliterations of the japanese characters. I try to keep the spellings consistent, but there are exceptions, usually because the person in question specifically uses a non-standard spelling (e.g. Matsumoto Leiji). ら, etc are written with R's, not L's. Long vowels are always written out. In general, they follow this pattern:
"aa" for ああ or アー
"ee" for ええ or エー or when the えs come from separate kanji
"ei" for えい
"ii" for いい or イー
"oh" for おお
"oo" for オー or when the おs are from separate kanji
